The two main obstacles that could have thwarted the Rangers’ play-off run were the Red Sox and the Yankees. With the Red Sox (shockingly) not making the play offs and the Yankees being eliminated at the hands of the Detroit Tigers, the Rangers have another chance to take home top prize.
