  1. How Do I Choose the Right TV Lift Cabinet for My Room Size?

Buying a TV lift cabinet without measuring first is a recipe for frustration. The cabinet needs to fit your room, your TV needs to fit the cabinet, and your viewing position needs to work with the height the TV rises to. Getting all three right requires a little planning — but it's not complicated.

Step 1: Know Your TV's Dimensions

Don't rely on screen size alone. A "65-inch TV" refers to the diagonal screen measurement, but the overall width, height, and depth of the TV set itself vary by brand and model. Measure your actual TV — or look up its spec sheet online — and note:

    • Width (left to right)
    • Height (top to bottom, not including stand)
    • Depth (front to back)
    • Weight

You need the cabinet's interior to accommodate the TV's width and depth with at least 1–2 inches of clearance on each side for airflow and safe travel.

Step 2: Measure Your Room's Available Footprint

Mark out on the floor where the cabinet will sit. Consider traffic flow — doors shouldn't open into a walkway. TV lift cabinet
