  1. Your Favorite TV Shows are Back!

    This week, TV watchers across the nation will be tuning in to catch the season premiere of their favorite shows on their TV lift cabinet. Following the Emmy Awards this past Sunday, the build up for the upcoming season is at full force.

    ‘Modern Family’ cleaned up at the Emmys, winning 5 awards. The show will premiere its third season with a one hour episode tonight at 9/8c on ABC. Or maybe you prefer the long-running fan favorite, ‘The Office’? Kicking off the first season without Steve Carrell, you can catch ‘The Office’, tomorrow, Thursday Sept 22 at 9/8c on NBC.

    Reality TV also has some heavy hitters making their season debut this week. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (ABC) started the new season on Monday night with the new and controversial cast (including Nancy Grace and Chaz Bono). ‘The Biggest Loser’ (NBC) aired last night and introduced new trainer, professional tennis star, Anna Kournikova. How will ‘The X Factor’ (FOX) fare in comparison to other singing competitions like ‘American

    Two weeks ago our Remington Fireplace TV Lift Cabinet was featured on the television show, HGTV’D.  The HGTV’D show has a celebrity designer remodel a room for selected homeowners.

    In the episode where our Remington Fireplace TV Lift Cabinet made its debut, The Cardenas family were the lucky homeowners selected to receive a beautiful room makeover by designer, Sandy EspinetSandy Espinet is a world - renown, designer who specializes in Mexico architecture and décor.  She currently operates Square One Furniture in San Jose Del Cabo.  HGTV selected Sandy Espinet for the Cardenas who wanted a traditional Mexican inspired family room.

    Sandy chose our Remington Fireplace TV Lift Cabinet for its traditional beauty and functionality.  Not only is it aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but the cabinet can also conceal a 55” TV.  To view part of the episode, check it out HERE.

  8. Netflix Loses Customers And Video Licensing Rights

    TV Lift Owners, do you subscribe to Netflix?  If so, here is the latest news with Netflix.  Netflix’s decision to raise their pricing by 60 percent has lead to the cancellation of 600,000 customers.  Wall Street reported its shares dropping about 19 percent or to $39.46, to close at $169.25 last Thursday.  This stock price is 40 percent lower than what it was valued at before the company unveiled its risky pricing strategy.  The cost to shareholders is more than $6 billion and may be more.

    Earlier this month Starz Entertainment decided not to renew their licensing rights to Netflix.  As many of you know, Starz provides over a 1,000 movies to Netflix’s video library.  Showtime also has pulled back on some of their movie selection with Netflix.  These changes are set to take place in March.

    With these serious setbacks and high price increase, it will be interesting to see how many other subscribers cancel.  Netflix definitely needs to act quickly in order to save their
