Spring is in the air. Trees and flowers are budding. And it’s time to shake out the dust and open some windows. Each year, I vow to clear away the clutter and every spring I’m reminded that I have a long way to go. This is definitely my year to declutter, once and for all.

A place for everything – and everything in its place. If you don’t have a space for something, you may not need it. Life is so much simpler when you know exactly where to find something. Sometimes you need small spaces – to keep things from getting jumbled. Sometimes you need to think big – like getting a cabinet with lots of storage to keep things organized. I really like the TVLiftCabinet because it keeps all the stuff that used to surround our television areas clean – all the time. When we want a movie or video game, we just pull out what we need and replace it when we’re done. When we want the television to disappear. Bam! One click and it’s gone. Kinda wish I had that one click wonder for other areas of my home.

While it may seem hard to believe while there’s a blizzard burying the Northeast, but spring really is just around the corner. And with the warmer, sunnier weather comes the time for us to brighten up our homes by replacing dreary winter décor with fun spring designs. Spring is still a little ways away, but why not get yourself in the mood by starting a little spring cleaning?  It would be better to get it done now while the weather is still less than pleasant.  You wouldn't want to spend the first nice day of spring inside scrubbing and sweeping.

If you do plan on getting a head start, don't forget to clean an important part of your home that often gets overlooked:  your entertainment center.  Below are a few tips to consider so that you can make your entertainment center both clean and organized.

1)Take Stock:  Most people keep their DVD/VHS/Blue-Ray Disc collection in their entertainment centers.  Take some time to make sure that all of the actual discs are in their right box and that all the boxes are in their right spot. Perhaps you could go through your collection and remove the movies that you don't want as often and move them to a storage location. Keep your center up to date with your current trends.
