It is a sad day for the DirecTV subscribers. Today all their Viacom channels have been cancelled. Viacom channels include VH1, MTV, Nickelodeon, and TV Land. According to Viacom, DirecTV had until midnight last night to renew their contract. Viacom claims the proposal DirecTV put forth was lower than the industry standard and not a fair deal.
DirecTV did not budge on their position and as of this morning all Viacom channels were dropped. For our TV lift cabinet owners who happen to be one of the 20 million DirecTV subscribers, you may wish to contact DirecTV and voice your concern. Currently, Viacom is urging subscribers to do just that in the hopes that this will force DirecTV back to the negotiation table.
For now though, it is at a stalemate.

Bigger is better, right? Sharp Corporation seems to think so. Sharp introduced today its latest product, the world’s largest LED TV. The 90" LED TV dimensions are 48”H x 96” W x 5” D. That is four feet tall averaging higher than most children. Quite impressive! This TV features a 1080p resolution, is 3-D ready, and has SmartCentral Service for Netflix, YouTube and Hulu Plus apps. Two pairs of 3-D glasses also come with TV for you and a guest to enjoy 3-D movies.
This TV while impressive does come with a hefty price tag. The TV is being retailed at $10,999.99. Yes, it is definitely a luxury product. The TV also is difficult to conceal. This TV will not fit into a standard TV lift cabinet. If you wish to only see the television when watching shows and then hide once not in use, then this TV may not work for your needs . Of course, if you can afford to buy one of these TVs, then one would reason that you can also afford to build a extremely large custom

If you enjoy watching Glee, Raising Hope and New Girl on your TV lift cabinet, then you will be happy to know these three sitcoms have been renewed by Fox. All three shows will be renewed for another year.
According to Kevin Reilly, Fox entertainment president, “New Girl has become the hottest new appointment series for young adults”. It is currently ranked No. 2 among young adults. Raising Hope’s quirky sometimes offbeat humor earns it another year’s contract, while Glee is still a top 10 favorite among young adults.

Recently, newspapers across the country have been featuring a deceiving ad that looks more like a news article about Clear Cast’s “Razor thin” indoor digital HDTV antenna. Clear Cast claims their antenna will allow consumers to enjoy up to 900 shows on their TV Lift Cabinet. This new invention is being offered to consumers for only $38. Once consumers purchase satellite antenna they will never have to pay for television again.
Is this too good to be true? Well, yes and no. Sure with the indoor antenna consumers may be able to get basic television, but this “new invention” isn’t really new. The satellite antenna is no different than the “bunny ear” antennas our grandparents used on their televisions. The only new adaptation of Clear Cast’s antenna from grandma’s antenna is that their antenna can be suction cupped to a window.
Google search results show cheaper antennas can be found at Radio Shack and Wal-Mart for under $10. While antennas can work, the success rates
