Our Oakdale Sample has finally arrived to our office!  This beautifully made traditional TV lift cabinet is made of highly sought after oak wood and designed after the popular Banyan Creek.  The overall cabinet dimensions are 61 1/4"W x 28 3/4"D x 39 1/2"H.  This cabinet features plenty of storage with three cabinet doors that open up to reveal ventilated shelves.  The center cabinet door is interchangeable and can replaced with either glass or speaker cloth.  This cabinet comes with an infrared relay system which amplifies and distributes remote control commands to your AV electronics without having to open the cabinet doors.

With the recent uproar surrounding the Netflix price hike, alternative streaming sources have made headway in the marketplace. One of the services that appears to be gaining momentum is Amazon.  A common concern among Netflix customers looking to jump ship is a lack of content with the alternatives.  Amazon’s announcement that they have reached 100,000 movies and TV shows to rent or buy could be just the boost they are looking for. With a large rent or buy library, there is still a question of whether Amazon will ever catch up to the number of available streaming movies and TV shows currently offered by Netflix. Regardless, the news of their expanding library could not have come at a better time.

In addition to the rent or buy service, Amazon now offers 9,000 movies and TV shows for unlimited streaming for your PC, tablet or TV lift cabinet. The amount of content may be significantly less than Netflix, however the cost of Amazon’s service at $79 per year comes in lower than Netflix’s

A colleague of mine recently had her iPhone stolen.  In the old days before smart phones, if a phone was stolen or lost, the owner would simply purchase a new phone, deactivate old phone, and reprogram all contacts back into phone.  It was an inconvenience, but at least manageable.

Nowadays, with everyone owning smart phones, things have become more complicated.  Not only do you have to replace phone, deactivate old phone, and reprogram all contacts back into address book, but you also have to change all passwords for your email accounts, Facebook page, banking, and any other important data that was previously stored on your phone.  What a nightmare!

Pansonic, Samsung, Sony, and XpanD came together to agree upon, making universal 3D glasses that will be compatible with all their 3D TV models.  This is great news for TV Lift Cabinet Owners who have 3D TVs.

Currently, 3D TV owners are faced with a great hurdle.  If they want friends and family to come over to watch a movie or game, they must provide them with glasses.  What 3D TV owner is going to buy more than four pairs of 3D glasses valued at $100 a piece?  It doesn’t make economical sense.  In addition to that, even if their other friends have their own pair of 3D glasses, those glasses are still going to need to be compatible with their TV model.  Talk about a frustration experience - to have such great visual technology and no easy way to share it with friends and family.
