A colleague of mine recently had her iPhone stolen.  In the old days before smart phones, if a phone was stolen or lost, the owner would simply purchase a new phone, deactivate old phone, and reprogram all contacts back into phone.  It was an inconvenience, but at least manageable.

Nowadays, with everyone owning smart phones, things have become more complicated.  Not only do you have to replace phone, deactivate old phone, and reprogram all contacts back into address book, but you also have to change all passwords for your email accounts, Facebook page, banking, and any other important data that was previously stored on your phone.  What a nightmare!

Since our TV Lift Cabinet Owners are tech savvy, I am going to share with you a few ways that you can protect your computer and phone.

1.)    Download iHound app to your smart phone.  IHound software allows you to track your smart phone at all times.  You can even sound a loud alarm to locate your phone.

Pansonic, Samsung, Sony, and XpanD came together to agree upon, making universal 3D glasses that will be compatible with all their 3D TV models.  This is great news for TV Lift Cabinet Owners who have 3D TVs.

Currently, 3D TV owners are faced with a great hurdle.  If they want friends and family to come over to watch a movie or game, they must provide them with glasses.  What 3D TV owner is going to buy more than four pairs of 3D glasses valued at $100 a piece?  It doesn’t make economical sense.  In addition to that, even if their other friends have their own pair of 3D glasses, those glasses are still going to need to be compatible with their TV model.  Talk about a frustration experience - to have such great visual technology and no easy way to share it with friends and family.

Joining in on the online movie streaming craze is Walmart, who a little over a year ago bought video-streaming service Vudu.com.  From Walmart.com, customers can buy or rent movies through the Vudu service. Walmart is not offering subscriptions, making it more comparable to iTunes than subscription services like Netflix.

Vudu offers 20,000 titles which can be viewed on PCs and streamed through devices like PlayStation 3. So, what does this mean for TV lift cabinet owners? In light of Netflix’s PR nightmare and subsequent loss of customers, Walmart has thrown its name into the hat as a potential alternative. Hulu, the online video service, is in the market for a buyer.  Over the last few months, Hulu has been shopping around for the most lucrative offer.  While Microsoft stepped down from the bidding war, it now appears that Apple is interested.  According to a Mashable related article, two people who weren’t authorized to speak publicly, let it leak that Apple has stepped into the bidding negotiations.
