  1. 4 tips to breathe life into your living room

A living room is the space you share with acquaintances, friends, and these days even more so with the family.  Everyone has a living room, but most of these spaces are dull, dead, and boring. Just placing things in the living room won’t breathe life into it, but these tips certainly will.

    1. Tie in the look- The most common mistake people make in styling their living room is having pieces that simply don't fall in place to give one unified look.  You don't necessarily have to throw out all your furniture.  All you need to do is brainstorm a way of using accessories like cushions or rugs to connect everything.  Looks break the continuity of things and sends out awkward vibes.
    2. Make it cozy- If you happen to have a large living room, chances are that you will have your furniture up against the walls, too far from each other, to actually encourage conversations. Conversation needs coziness and proximity, and that certainly means cutting down on distance.  Place couches at a comfortable

  2. Check out two of our newest cabinets!

We here at TVLiftCabinet.com are always trying to introduce fresh, new designs. With TV size and technology constantly evolving, we saw the need for cabinets that house larger TVs and ones that can accommodate the ever-popular sound bar speaker. As a result, we have unveiled a number of new cabinets on the site – have you noticed? Over the next few weeks, I’m going to present each cabinet on the blog to give you a quick rundown of the new additions. If you like what you see, click the link in the blog article for more information, images and the ‘Add to Cart’ button. Below are the first two cabinets, allow me to introduce: Ocean Avenue and Nantucket – Happy shopping!

If I had to describe Ocean Avenue in two words, they would be ‘modern’ and ‘chic’. The rich espresso finish really accentuates the zebra pattern in the wood. Your components are stored behind the smoked glass doors. Modern design aside, the cabinet can hold a large TV – up to 65”. Click here for the exact maximum dimensions

  4. Product Focus of the Week: Kensington TV Lift Cabinet

Our beautiful Kensington TV Lift Cabinet is a favorite among city dwellers and sea captains.  Finished in a warm brown, this traditional cabinet is slightly narrower than most TV lift cabinets at a depth of 22 ¾”, making it a great solution for tight spaces.  We recently had ship captains interested in this cabinet due to the traditional look and the ability to fit through their 24” hallways.

The Kensington features an integrated heavy-duty, rack and pinion drive TV lift mechanism that silently lowers the TV into the cabinet.  The maximum TV dimensions are 51-3/4"W x 5"D x 32 3/4"H.  An infrared relay system is pre-installed within the Kensington.  Our IR system allows TV viewers to operate their AV components behind closed doors.

The Kensington offers plenty of storage.  Three cabinet drawers open up to reveal adjustable shelving.  This space is perfect for storing books, AV components and other collectibles.  The center drawer features interchangeable wood and speaker
